Prominent blockchain tracker Whale Alert discovered a massive SHIB transaction that carried nearly three trillion meme coins. In this deal, Turkey's largest cryptocurrency exchange participated.
This transfer took place after a crucial development that occurred recently when... SHIB Metaverse It was released on the Shibarium blockchain after several years of hard work by the SHIB team to create it.
2.8 trillion Shiba Inu on the move
Whale Alert shared details of a massive meme coin transfer that was flagged as a withdrawal from BTCTurk - Turkey's second largest centralized cryptocurrency exchange - and a staggering 2,884,590,622,344 SHIB were transferred from it to an anonymous wallet.
The cash equivalent of this massive SHIB sum was an impressive $65,703,762. The withdrawal was made less than seventeen hours ago, according to on-chain data.
The cryptocurrency community was amazed to see such a huge transaction for the second most popular Shiba Inu meme and began sharing assumptions regarding the destination of the transaction. Some believe it was a whale making huge moves with its SHIB coins.
Extensive withdrawals explained
All of these assumptions were made despite BTCTurk themselves commenting that this transfer was nothing more than an internal transaction in an attempt to optimize their wallets. The caption states that these transfers are “fully managed by us, and nothing is out of the ordinary.”
Three more large transfers were made from BTCTurk to anonymous wallets, but this time, they involved Ethereum, not SHIB. $220 million worth of ETH was transferred: 23,285, 20,000, and 20,000 ETH.
The platform commented under each Whale Alert tweet that the cryptocurrency movements were part of “wallet optimization efforts.” However, cryptocurrency enthusiasts continued to suggest reasons for these withdrawals and even questioned whether the exchange had been hacked.
