The aforementioned source of blockchain data tweeted that less than two hours ago, 30,171,667 XRP (equivalent to $69,244,848 USD in fiat currencies) were mysteriously swept away by an unknown wallet to cryptocurrency trading platform Coinbase.

XRP-focused explorer Bithomp commented that the “anonymous” wallet that initiated the transaction was initiated through a blockchain address belonging to Coinbase, making it an internal transaction on this exchange.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the price of XRP showed an unexpected rise of 5.34%, which can be attributed to the annual “Santa Rise” in the financial markets. However, XRP has so far erased almost all of these gains, losing 3.35% and trading at $2.6507.
