Last year's wave of Telegram Games Tap to Earn The noise may He diedbut there's a new title that has done away with the clicking part and has attracted a large number of users as a result - even if it seems to be a lesser game than others.
Zoo It is the new hit on the messaging platform, bringing a FarmVille vibe to the world of Telegram gaming with the promise of payouts in the form of tokens for players. You're building your zoo, filling it with more and more animals, all of which earn you more in-game currency - and yes, that should translate into tokens on the chain when the airdrop arrives.
There are some other things you can do, from daily puzzles and quizzes to joining a group of other players, and of course, feeding your animals. Still, Zoo is largely an idle game and not something that will keep you glued to your screen and actively engaged for hours on end.
Although there's not much going on at Zoo on Telegram, with a code drop likely coming soon, there are definitely worse ways to spend your time. Here's everything you need to know about the zoo.
What is a zoo?
Zoo is the latest hit game on Telegram, and can be considered a neighbor to the tap-to-earn games that took over the space in 2024. However, instead of clicking on some random things, you can build a zoo full of exotic animals, all of which bring in passive income provided that you maintain To feed them.
It's basically a cross between Farmville and Zoo Tycoon, where you choose a square to place your new animal enclosures and then watch as coins attract visitors to your zoo.
It's not the most complex game in the world, and it's arguably more passive than a lot of click-to-earn games - but like most games that have a slightly unique idea in the Telegram space, it's attracted a significant number of users over the past few weeks. More than 14 million accounts have interacted with the app so far, and this number is growing day by day.
It's also in the final stages of the mining phase, where you can play to earn some tokens in a final airdrop. Details on exactly how it will work are scant on the ground, but the mining phase ends on January 31, so if you want to enjoy the zoo, you'll need to act quickly.
How to play Zoo on Telegram
Zoo is incredibly easy to play, and after you start, you barely need to play at all. To get started, you'll need to head to Telegram and launch the app Mini zoo applicationwhich will then guide you through the beginning stages of setting up your zoo.
To get started, you'll need to click on an empty square on the map and purchase an animal pen to fill it. Once you have at least one animal, you'll start earning Zoo tokens in-game, which the developers say will match 1:1 with on-chain tokens airdropped in a future airdrop. You can buy more animals to get more income per hour, with more expensive animals bringing in more tokens.
Your animals will earn you tokens passively as long as they are fed, which you have to do by pressing the feed button. However, this costs "Animal Feed" - the other in-game currency that is also used to purchase new animals. So make sure you don't spend all your money on new additions at the expense of being able to feed your existing animals.
That's basically the gist of the game, but you'll spend most of your time trying to get more animal feed currency, as it doesn't automatically replenish. You'll need to claim your daily login bonus, and complete tasks like daily puzzles or social actions to make sure you have enough animal feed to keep the creatures happy – and keep more money flowing into your zoo.
When is the zoo airdrop?
There is no confirmed date for the ZOO token airdrop, but we do know that the mining period is scheduled to end on January 31st.
Once the month is over, you will obviously no longer be able to earn Zoo Tokens in-game, which means your airdrop allocation will be set as the in-game Zoo Tokens will correspond 1:1 to the tokens on the chain. So, if you end the month with 1 million Zoo Tokens in game, you should get 1 million ZOO Tokens from the airdrop.
The Zoo token will likely be launched Open network (TON), where you can connect a TON wallet and spend TON to purchase certain benefits, such as animal feed packages. The developers have yet to confirm that ZOO will launch on TON, and we've seen Telegram games swap ecosystems shortly before the air launch, but TON seems to be the most likely bet - at least for now.
