Helium revenues are rising just in time for a new dawn

Dawn's goal is noble. They are all better.

The goal of enabling everyday consumers to service each other's broadband — and rewarding them for it with cryptocurrencies — is similar to what Helium has done for mobile phone coverage over the past few years.

DAWN positions itself as a decentralized protocol for gigabit-level Internet access, as in download speeds in excess of 1 Gbps (1000 Mbps).

On the other hand, Helium hotspots generally offer 5G-class service.

Technically, there are no minimum and maximum 5G internet speed levels. Helium users have reported download speeds ranging from less than 100Mbps to actual gigabit ranges. But it depends on the region, with factors including user demand and the density and quality of available hotspots.

However, helium plays a role in DAWN's future, like it or not. Helium is the most obvious criterion for adopting DePIN at the moment, especially for projects competing to disrupt services such as telecommunications and the Internet.

Helium was heated all year round

Given that DAWN uses Solana in its token economies, as Helium has been doing ever since Switched from its own network In April 2023 - the two are scheduled to be compared to each other endlessly.

DAWN can only be considered successful if it can outperform Helium in certain metrics.

While subscription prices for Helium's mobile phone service increased Slow down To some extent (105 per day on average this quarter compared to 225 in Q3), users are spending more than ever to use the network. At least since Helium was switched to Solana as usage data before the jump is apparently no longer available to the public.

Helium users spent Nearly $63,000 and $56,000 are on the data in the first two weeks of December, as shown by the light green bars on the chart above. The HNT price is otherwise plotted by the purple line.

In a way, DAWN is betting on that number increasing significantly from here. And what's good for helium can be good for DAWN — as long as the latter successfully directs that energy toward the home, rather than the hot spot.
