Changpeng Zhao, widely known in the community as CZ, the co-founder and former CEO of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, made an announcement that BNB has reached a whole new level of adoption.
Binance Coin (BNB) has been listed on Bhutan's Strategic Cryptocurrency Reserve, along with a few other cryptocurrencies.
BNB, BTC and ETH will be stored by Bhutan
Czechoslovakia retweeted an article released today revealing that Gelephu Mindfullness City (GMC) in Bhutan's New Special Administration Region announced that it intends to include Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Binance Coin in its strategic reserves. Therefore, it will be one of the first countries to hold leading digital currencies in its reserves.
They believe that the inclusion of digital assets will improve the region's economic resilience and will also expand the region's involvement in Bitcoin mining.
GMC intends to use the large market cap and highly liquid cryptocurrencies to build up its strategic reserves so that they can be easily bought and sold if the need arises with minimal impact on the price. Thus, Gelifu Mindfullness City intends to add other cryptocurrencies as well, which are issued on “more mature and secure blockchains that support cross-chain transaction monitoring,” according to the article.
