You already know that a group of pro-crypto political candidates won their elections in November. Today marks the beginning of seeing what that will mean.
Well, sort of. The Republican-led House of Representatives met just hours ago to begin voting to re-elect Mike Johnson as Speaker. So, there are a few more things to deal with before crypto-related matters take center stage.
But it looks like they will eventually, with the structure of the cryptocurrency market and stablecoin legislation expected To attract attention in the coming months. As we mentioned yesterday Rep. French Hill Alison Behuniak, staff director of the House Financial Services Committee's Subcommittee on Digital Assets, served as the committee's policy director.

This is a good idea for industry players for sure. But the optimism surrounding the following of these politicians appears to be rooted in something real.
