Hyper Foundation addresses the Hyperliquid Validator concern


The Hyper Foundation has refuted claims that auditor seats in Hyperliquid's high-performance layer-one blockchain are up for sale, addressing concerns about the project's practices.

In a packed X post, the Hyper Foundation, an organization dedicated to growing the Hyperliquid ecosystem, expose Allegations surrounding the 16 blockchain auditors.

Most of the allegations claimed that the entities bought their way into the project. excess fluid (The noise) was launched in November 2024 as a decentralized exchange for perpetual futures contracts on its own layer-one network.

In response to these allegations, the Hyper Foundation maintained that the auditor selection was based on a merit-based process. The organization also noted that the number of validators will grow naturally as the ecosystem expands.

There is no way to buy a seat at the table, and claims otherwise undermine the efforts of validators who have put in the time and effort to understand the system.

Concerns have also arisen about Hyperliquid's closed source code and single binary infrastructure. In the face of these criticisms, the Hyper Foundation acknowledged the advantages of open source but defended its approach, citing the scale and speed of its development. The organization compared its model with existing blockchains like Solana, which also use a single-client architecture.

Yes, the node code is currently closed source. Open source is important. Open source projects once development is in a stable state. Hyperliquid ships orders of magnitude faster than most projects. The scope is much larger than most projects as well. The code will be open source when it is safe to do so.
