10 million RLUSD is on the move

The aforementioned tracking service noted 10 large transactions, which carried an amount of RLUSD close to 10 million. These transfers are made between anonymous blockchain addresses on the Ethereum network.

Over the past hour, two massive transfers worth 1,400,000 RLUSD each were sent from one unknown wallet to another. The smallest batch transferred during the above-mentioned period was R$588,029 against the US dollar, while the largest batch included R$1,799,000.

This and two other large amounts of RLUSD – 1,763,085 and 1,799,000 RLUSD – were transferred on Sunday, January 12.

This stablecoin, pegged to the US dollar and backed by a variety of assets, including US Treasuries, cash and equivalents, was officially launched in early December after nearly a year in the making. Ripple was determined to enter the stablecoin market and shake it up with a new product.

It has already been listed by major exchanges such as Bitstamp and Bullish, and according to Ripple head Monica Long, the team is actively negotiating with platforms such as Coinbase and the like. She stated that the appearance of RLUSD on all platforms is imminent and promised that it will play a major role in cross-border B2B payments and transfers in the Ripple Payments ecosystem, along with the XRP token.

Cardano founder negotiates with RLUSD team

In today's X post, the founder of Cardano and IOG Charles Hoskinson revealed The Cardano and Ripple teams are “actively talking.” These efforts come after Cardano failed to integrate market leaders such as USDT and USDC into its blockchain.

However, it does not appear that the company intends to create its own stablecoin. But it allows third-party developers to do so, as was the case with DJED. Now, the recently launched RLUSD seems to have caught their attention and interest.

Currently, RLUSD is ranked 2,983rd on CoinMarketCap, with a market cap of just over $53 million.
