The cryptocurrency founder behind a $40 billion debacle will be extradited to the US

According to Agence France-Presse, Montenegro is scheduled to delivery South Korean cryptocurrency entrepreneur Do Kwon travels to the United States

Justice Minister Bojan Bozovic gave the green light for the extradition earlier on Friday, according to the report.

A jury then found Terraform Labs and Kwon liable, and sided with the SEC in April.

Kwon has also been charged criminally in both the United States and his native South Korea. Both countries were seeking Kwon's extradition, but Montenegro ultimately decided that the United States would be the best option due to most of the criteria set out in the law.

In September, Terraform Labs received approval for its bankruptcy plan.
